Über mich
Bevor ich mich entschlossen habe, Musiker zu werden, wollte ich Fotograf werden.
Seit über 30 Jahren fotografiere ich Musik und Musiker, vor allem aus dem Bereich Jazz und Klassik.
Für die Leo Kestenberg Musikschule dokumentiere ich seit einigen Jahren die Veranstaltungen und mache Fotos für die Website und die Presseankündigungen.
Zu einem guten Livefoto gehört - neben dem reinen Handwerk der Fototechnik - eine künstlerische Bildgestaltung und vor allem der richtige Augenblick der Aufnahme.
Und in diesem Punkt meine ich - als Musiker-Fotograf - im Vorteil zu sein, da ich die Musik strukturierter höre und somit den richtigen Moment intuitiver erfassen kann als ein Nicht-Musiker.
About me
Before I decided to become a musician, it was my ambition to become a photographer.
For over 30 years I have taken pictures related to music and musicians, especially in the fields of jazz and classical music.
For a few years, I have been documenting events for the Leo Kestenberg Music School in Berlin, taking pictures for their website and press releases.
What goes best with a live photo – next to the pure craft of the photographic technique – an artistic photo design and, primarily, perfect timing.
At this point I think I am – as a musician and a photographer of musicians – at an advantage, because I have the ability to listen to the music and its structure as an insider and therefore to intuitively grasp the perfect moment better than a non-musical person.
